Pleased to make your acquaintances!
My name's Adam! I'm a young Canadian m8 who works in the film and video game industry in Toronto. In my spare time I much enjoy fighting back tooth and claw against the sheer concept of adulthood and all the BS it entails. Although mostly it's all just in my head, and I should probably learn to kick my feet up and enjoy myself now and again!
Speaking of which, that's what I've been trying to do recently with the launch of my first YouTube channel. I've been piecing together the gear required to shoot Let's Plays over the last couple of years, and I'm finally making that dream come true! 10 SUBS BABY!
I think the inspiration comes from seeing the way successful YouTubers' feeds become like massive forums themselves, and the personality at the center of it has the power to reach out to the individuals in their fanbase and make a real impact on their lives. Deep down, I just want to entertain people, and somehow gain their trust so that I can
show up at their house and provide them with advice and friendly company that'll actually serve as a positive force in their lives.
This is the same reason that I play music, and have been a drummer for the past 10 years despite making little to no money off of it. We all grow up with certain things that comfort us, shape us and help us grow. It's my dream to use those things to give back to communities similar to the one that I'm a part of.
If you've stuck it out with me through this entire sappy, narcissistic pile of s*#t I'm disguising as an introduction, then please know that I'll do whatever I can to make this forum a better place!
I'll be posting one of my first LPs in a different topic, any and all feedback would be met with tons of love! And if you've got something you'd like me to take a gander at, rest assured that I will do my best to make time for you in return.
G'day Adam! Very nice to meet you!
I also made it through your shpiell, and I agree with Vic, we're all gonna get along juuuust fine.
As a fellow muso I must offer a hearty welcome and condolences on the lack of career options that drumming provides. At least it's cool though.
Keep rocking, I'm off to watch your LP
